The 2024 Southeast Regional was held at Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia from April 10th - 14th. Forest City is a gun club rooted in its rich history for being the oldest operating Gun Club in the United States. This spectacular venue is located in close proximity to downtown Savannah and has the space to host a regional of this magnitude. The Forest City property is beautiful with the renowned Forest City Gun Club Lake and wooded areas scattered with pine and oak trees. Forest City also held the 2018 Southeast Regional and has also hosted other large NSCA/NSSA and SCTP Events throughout the years. After some rain had moved through in the earlier parts of the week, the sun was shining bright and the weather cleared up nicely in time for the Main Event. There was a grand total of 678 competitors shooting in the Main Event, shooters competed on two, 100 bird courses. The Lake Course and the Woods Course were the two competition courses shot over Saturday and Sunday. The Lake Course was a fantastic layout where the grounds were utilized to it's full potential by placing stations along the banks of the giant lake as well as incorporating some stations in the trees. The Woods course was an extremely challenging and difficult layout that tested the shooters with rapid pairs and intense target combinations throughout the entire round. This layout certainly kept all shooters on their toes and will be one to remember for years to come. When it was all said and done, Brandon Powell continued his streak of dominance winning High Overall in the Main Event following a shoot off with Gebben Miles who tied him with a score of 184/200. Gebben was Runner Up and Anthony Matarese Jr. placed Third with a 181/200. In the Ladies Division, Madison Sharpe won High Overall with a 169/200, Desirae Edmunds was Runner Up with a 167/200 and Karen Miles was Third after a shoot off with Desirae also on a 167/200.
