The 2023 Northeast Regional was held at the widely renowned M&M Hunting Preserve and Sporting Clays in Pennsville, New Jersey from May 17th - 21st. M&M is certainly on the Mount Rushmore of clay shooting venues in the United States thanks to the Matarese family who consistently puts on a fantastic event time and time again. The Northeast Regional at M&M is certainly always one of the most anticipated and highly attended events of the year thanks to the top tier target setting, northeast cuisine, management, and good times that every shooter can always count on. The Main Event was set by New Jersey natives Anthony Matarese Jr. and Joe Scull who never disappoint when it comes to keeping the competitors entertained with very fair but testing targets on their courses. After the first day there were many competitors bunched up tightly at the top of the leaderboard, it would come down to the final day to determine the Northeast Regional Champion. Following the final rotation on Sunday afternoon, all top competitors posted scores in close proximity to one another but Joseph Fanizzi ended up edging past the rest of the field with a 188/200 with Todd Hitch and Wendell Cherry being just one bird shy both combined on a 187/200.
